Three sequencers write the chords, the line and the drums. Twenty trained styles propose the notes, from Bach cello suites to acid house. Deviation lanes bend the pattern a little on every pass, so it never quite plays the same way twice, and the accident you liked is there again tomorrow. Bacara makes no sound of its own: what you hear is your synth.

The phrase generator controls: style, steps, temperature and the dieGlad you asked. Bacara sits between your creative intent and your instruments. You give it a style and a key, it gives you a phrase; roll the die and it gives you another. A temperature knob sets how far it strays, from safe to jazz hands. Think of it as a very enthusiastic collaborator who never gets tired, never argues about the key signature, and never eats your snacks from the studio fridge.

Plays Nice With Your Setup your DAW, your hardware, or just your browser

Bacara loads as a VST3, AU or CLAP plugin in Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Bitwig Studio, Reaper, Cubase, FL Studio - if your DAW hosts MIDI plugins, Bacara will happily move in. No DAW open? The Bacara app plays by itself with its demo sound, and on a Mac its own MIDI port feeds any synth app that takes MIDI.

Use it as a generative step sequencer for evolving melodies, an acid bassline generator when you need proper 303-style squelch, or a full multi-channel pattern engine driving bass, leads and drums at once. It writes the MIDI; your instruments take the credit. We've made peace with that.
